Of all the challenges I anticipated when my husband and I married, intermarriage
wasn't one of them. Can you imagine, then, waking up after twelve years of being
wed to your soul mate and realizing that, while you didn't start out in a mixed
marriage, you were in one just the same? It was a devastating situation and
one that I knew I had little power to change. My only option was to wait and
